Socks's Adventure Chapter One

"Hey Socks!"called Trigger.
"Hello!" Socks looked down from the fence she was perched on. She smiled at the brown tom with a white stripe down his back and underbelly, orange tabby stripes and a black and green stripe collar. He looked a bit odd, but that's alright. "What are you doing?"

"Nothing much, I caught two mice today! Would you like one?" he nudged a  mouse toward her.
"Er...No thanks, I'd like to catch one on my own." she replied staring at the forest.
"A-are you really going to go out there?" he asked shakily.
"Hm...Yeah!"she smirked jumping down from the fence.
Just then a black and white tom with a stump of a tail stalked up."Where are you going?" he asked.
"To the forest, Skunk!" she said bravely.
"Haven't you heard what forest cats do to cats like us?! They eat them!" Skunk's fur was standing on the end.
"Where did you hear that?" she questioned.
"From Toby."
"That's foolish! He hasn't set paw out of his house in years!" she growled,"I dare you to come with me!" Skunk and Trigger exchanged glances. "Okay!"
"Great! Come on, the sun is setting!" she, Trigger and Skunk set of into the forest.
